One good way would be as someone already said, keep then for 2 weeks before selling.

A sure-fire way would be to ship them to yourself via the mail and mark it DO NOT X-RAY. That method has about a 98% success rate.

All a PA Certified and Licensed Poultry Technician is is someone who can come to your home and take blood from your birds, send it in to the lab.

I meant no offense with my comment about being LPT. Wish I had that kind of training.

I'm inclined to think that shaking / scrambling the egg would be most effective. I would have concern about either heating or freezing as it could greatly reduce the shelf life of the egg by partially cooking it or by possibly opening frost cracks in the shell. I wonder if you could only distribute the extra eggs to people you could trust not to incubate them.

A certified senior auto technician can probably fix your car and change out any part you want, but they won't always know how the part is designed or necessarily how it works.

That said, the hatchability of a good fertile egg is a function of storage temp and time. I would NOT recommend heating as that would cause some, albeit a little, growth of the embryo during the optimal growth temperature which may cause a visual difference on the yolk that is undesirable.

Refrigerated eggs at normal 38-40F refrigerator temperatures can still hatch a week later. Eggs held at optimal 55-60 with 100% humidity can last nearly 3 weeks. Eggs held at 0F for 30 minutes can still hatch although the incidence of deformities greatly rises. What I would do is hold the eggs just at freezing, say 32F, for a full week. They will not freeze because of the proteins in the eggs, but this should cause enough damage to the blastocyst to prevent development. There is a book that I think is called The avian embryo or something similar that is published in the 70's or so. It is a book that was largely published for the purpose of laboratory research. There is a chart in there with storage times, temps, and resulting hatchibility/ defects that formed at each condition.
