I would like to ask for a moment

First, let me just say don't believe everything you read or hear on our news stations, most of it is a crock! My son was stationed in S. Korea about 18 months ago, when the North was rattling their sabres and firing off all their test missles, and testing nukes underground. What I heard on the news was freaking me out, thinking my son was going to be in the midst of a war! I e-mailed him, he called me, and he said, "what are you talking about??" They had heard nothing about an "impending war", or the underground nukes the North was testing. If there is a serious threat of war, ALL of our military bases around the world will be put into "lockdown" mode. Never happened, still hasn't. My son is now serving in Iraq. North Korea is stamping their little feet again to get attention and more aid from our country. Funny, how they seem to think that will work in their favor, when all it does is shut off the aid flow. Kim Jon-Il is passing the torch to his son as leader of the North. Who knows what this idiot will do, but let me just say, they are in the midst of countries that will NOT tolerate the threats, like Japan, and they will find their arses nuked in short order if they, the North, overstep their bounds. If I was to worry about something, it would be what is going on within our own country. Please, stand by our troops, and pray for our nation! We're going to need it!

That nut job in N.Korea has always talked big. He IS insane. Certifiably and absolutely nuts.
While his people are starving to death (except his military) he sends his private jet (not a little one, but 757 size) to Russia every day for HIS fresh loaf of bread.
The only way the people eat well is to join the military. But when it comes to fighting.............I don't think they'll be as willing to die for the nut case as what he may think.
I've participated in the war games. Been a few years but he has always claimed we would be met with an awful and swift death at the hands of his elite military. The couple of nukes he has now is cause for concern, but I think we're ready. Very ready. But the Kenyan in charge here may have other plans.

Just don't forget that NK won the World Cup....oh yes they did!!! Do you know how I know? Because KJI said so, that's why! I heard it from my never-shut-off radio in my kitchen in Pyongyang and on the 1 channel on the govmt given tv I got for being an awesome citizen.

So this isn't the first time NK stamped its little feet in hopes of getting attention?

OOh no... He acts like a spoiled child.. (with mental issues..)

The worst kind, then. I see.

Well, they DID shoot a few Chinese tourists a few weeks ago or something. Also, does NK actually go through with their threats?

BarkerChickens, I'm sorry.

I didn't hear about that. The Chinese are one nation I wouldn't want to *&*^ off... I wonder if the N.Korean leader has some kind of mental illness, because I can not fathom a logical mind taking the actions he has taken. As for if N.K. actually goes through with their threats, I don't think anyone has tested them to find out...

One thing I am seeing in all of these posts is that people expect North Korea to react as w would. They have an very different culture and set of values than western civilization; the same with many other countries--their culture and values are so different than ours that we have a difficult time understanding their actions and motivations. No, he is not mentally ill, although he is physically in poor health.

take this how you will but.................

Grandpa still has 8 lbs of shrapnel in him from the tank he was standing on when the mortar blew it up.. 3 years of rehab, and countless pieces that have worked themselves out of his body in the most painful ways... plus the Hanoi Hilton... My buddy who's stationed over there in SK, a step uncle who works for the NCS watching over the area, and many many folks I know indirectly from old school days who are either Dyn Corp, black water, or whatever PMC they are currently with are very nervous.

It's enough to make me wonder. How hard would it be to strap a scud to a diesel sub (which they have quite a few of) that just so happened to be off the coast somewhere............. Personally I must slightly disagree, I think Kim Jong Il was perfectly portrayed on Team America.. world's police.....

Just for the official record here SPAIN won the cup this year. their first. Italia before that (woot their 4th). The Korea Republic came in 4th back in 2002 but that is the closest they have ever come to winning one. If that's not looney propaganda I don't know what is. And if they're willing to lie outright about something that trivial who knows what other gunk they're putting out.
