LOL
I don't know about yours but my Ia Blue's are characters. The pullets love to fly and "cheat" to be the first one to me for treats. The roo now takes his leadership role very seriously and even gives me the stink eye on occasion.
Unfortunateley we are not over there enough with them. They are mostly scared of us lol it was hard just trying to catch them! The roo seems pretty heavy/meaty for his age lol he feels like a little fatty. One of the pullets comb got bigger and was pretty red today, the other two just have tiny ones that are pale. Wonder if we will get an egg in a few weeks from one.
I would think we should see some pretty soon from this group. I'm getting two a day from my older 3 pullets and they are only 3/4 weeks ahead. I may even throw a couple in the bator this weekend and see what happens
Most of my little flock are pretty friendly, though I do have a couple of very shy ones, including my favorite roo. I have 3 roos that have black breasts and kind of a brassy color on their saddle and hackle feathers. Anyone else have this? My reading suggest the presence of an autosomal red gene that alters the look of the silver gene. My favorite doesn't have that - he's pure silver so far and has heavy silver down his breast - very pretty! Unfortunately he has the light colored eyes
I've been trying to get pics to post, but he's camera shy
