Ibuprofen for Controlling Pain in Poultry ?

I used to say it's not supposed to be used, but someone posted this link, so maybe it can be used?

That says ibuprofen can be used and the max dose is 10 mg/kg (4.54 mg per pound 2-3 times a day:

If I were going to use ibuprofen I think I would use this - The max dose would be 0.23 ml per pound 3 times a day.

I was surprised to find that link because of the three references I use, none of them list ibuprofen doses for birds.

For pain and swelling I use meloxicam, which is in my three references.
 
Darn, I think I made a serious dosing error. :oops:

Not a dosing error, but anyone wanting to use ibuprofen needs to double check the label. The product I have show above is the children's formula, it is 20 mg/ml.
