That was something I was waiting to mention here. While I'm not diabetic limiting sugar and carb intake is a priority for me and should be for everyone.
I like that ChooksChick mentioned using Agave and Stevia, both are healthier alternatives. Honey works great too but is still sugar, just better sugar.
I prefer my iced tea to be sweetened, not syrupy, but sweetened, BUT since last visiting the doctor, I have been diagnosed borderline diabetic so now I drink my iced tea plain, no sugar added. Sometimes I will put some artificial sweetener in it, but most of the time, I just drink it "straight." It really isn't so bad once you get used to it, right?
I LOVE tea, any kind, hot, cold, sweet, unsweet... only thing I don't like is the "fake" tea they try to get away with serving as real tea, like china mist and some other nasty crud.
That having been said, I drink all my tea unsweetened as I am trying to cut down on calories.
Oxymoron; NOUN: A rhetorical figure in which incongruous or contradictory terms are combined, as in a deafening silence and a mournful optimistJumbo Shrimp,
And yes, I'm just joking... don't nobody go postal on me. I just need to get a life!
