Ice Tea - Sweet or Unsweet?

I love sweeeeet tea

-- being from the south it's a requirement. But since I have gotten older and little bit wider

, I am having to go with 1/2 sweet and 1/2 unsweet. soon i will be down to just unsweet with lemon. Oh, I like lemon in my sweet tea too.

And yes I did club baby seals a few times but only after drinking a glass of sugar with some water and tea in it.


It's a known fact that people who drink unsweet tea are smarter.

Unsweetened tea is a first cousin once removed from left-over dirty dish water. Neither is fit for human consumption.

Plain, unsweetened. No sugar, no lemon. That's the way I like it.

I was raised on Instant Nestea...

I always put 1/3 cup sugar per 2 quarts. Not real sweet, but gotta have a little sugar.

Can't stand the brewed stuff-blech

Suntea is okay once in a great while.

But it is a preference thing... some people grow up with different tastes... I know of a person that will not put salt or anything on her food.. now for me... I would die!!

But for her it isn't a health thing... she just never grew up with salt on her food I guess.. and she cooks that way all the time???? But she does eat out at the restaurants??

Half sweet half unsweet when we go out to eat.I like it sweet but not really sweet,but I really like hot tea (all kinds).

Water please! I'll pass on the tea - especially the sweet tea - YUCK!!!

My inlaws dump about a pound of sweetener into their tea, I can't stand to even smell that stuff
