Icelandic Chickens

Im in my first incubation, trying to do some Lemon Cuckoo Orps I bought on an online auction. Day 7 and just candled for the first time in my life.
I had wanted to do the White Chantecler, of Canada, very cold tolerant bird, but after seeing these, I may be changing my mind.
Do you know of any reputable place eggs can be ordered from?? Or chicks?

halarious...sounds like he's laughing!!

We are having some unseasonably warm weather here this December. The chickens are out ranging far and wide trying to find what they can, but there isn't nearly the bug population there was before we had the cold snap in November. Here is Elska, she is a little loud mouth....always peeping/chirping/squawking...Chickie Mama stills sleeps with her under her wing on the roost in the "broody coop" and protects her among the flock. What a spoiled little girl she is!!

thanks everyone, I did a little looking around, I guess I want more of a dual-purpose bird. Besides I have noplace to keep them separate from the rest of my flock and in order to keep them PURE I'd have to do that. I like my little mixed flock alot and they are all still quite young so I'm not ready to butcher. thanks thanks thanks tho. love seeing them all
