Icelandic Chickens

Ok, as requested.. here are some of them. Only had time to snap a few pics... Had to come back in to watch kids while wife went to basketball practice.
Alot of the other ones arent as pretty right now, still have a uniform chipmunk kind of look. and then some all white ones.

Boston,

You have quite the variety!! Don't give up on the "white" ones too soon. Here's a pic of Audun when he was 4 months old and one from this weekend. They change ALOT by the time they are one and then when they molt...even more!

Nice, yea I am interested to see how these chipmunk looking ones end up, theres like 6-7 of them that are all very similar right now. Time will tell :)
Thanks for sharing your pics as well. I really need to get on building some new coops.. I have been clearing my 1/2 acre parcel for an Angus calf I will be getting pretty soon, I am almost done, and have it graded then I will be ready to throw up some fences, then start on new coops. There's just never enough time, and money is there.

We mainly want them for pollinating our orchard and garden, but the honey is a bonus too! Once we get a handle on how to do it, we'll add another hive.

x2.
13 eggs from Hillbilly Hen are still going strong! They were all waving at me.

My, how fast time flies!
Oh! I have to ship an Icelandic rooster today to NC! I am nervous for this is my first time to ship a chicken. Please pray for the safe travels of this poor rooster.
Ok, off to the coop to get him ready.

Oh, another thing, that rooster that I am shipping today? Well, when I got home from church yesterday, he had gotten into a fight with another Icelandic. So, he is a bit bloody.
