Icelandic Chickens

They warned me about using scratchy nest pads and roll out boxes and I didn't listen. I am paying the price now.

I have 25+ Orps in a single coop that will literally stand in line to use the covered kitty box rather than any of the other options. I'm just going to take the others out, because if they want to shove their big, fluffy behinds in there 3 at a time, I'll let them!

"Hopefully, they will make use of the new nestboxes"

Or not, Michelle.

:lau :gig :lau You can lead a horse to water... I didn't put scratchy pads, I used carpet designed to go around pool decks. It's durable and rather cleanable as it's more plastic than fiber, designed to be hosed off. We still need to add some roosts. Rather than fixed to a wall we will make swings, 2X4's hung from the ceiling. Easier to shovel under then than it is to wash the walls. For now the birds are locked inside, so the nest box or the floor are the only option. We'll see :fl

Off topic, self serving favor to ask. If anyone has time, could you go to my website and click around on a few pages. I am just 7 cents away from making $25 (in four months!) off my advertising. If I make it by the end of the month, I get a check which I so want to frame and hang on my office wall. Stupid, I know but I want that check! Thanks! I promise I won't ask again.
