I am in north central Illinois, Lee County, between I-88, I- 80 and west of I-39.

That's so awesome! Do you sell eggs or chicks at all? I am interested in starting a flock on our farm. I live outside of Peoria. I see eggs for sale sometimes, but I haven't ordered any because I am worried about shipping damage. PM me if you do!

Ohhh I hope you get some! They are such beautiful birds.

Thank you for the good luck wishes on the current hatch, all!

Okay, I know these pics aren't great. I'll try to get better ones with my camera and not my phone :/ These little ones are about 4 weeks old, and I'm anxious to determine their sexes! I have one super obvious cockerel, with an enormous comb, but I'm unsure on the rest.

The one in the foreground is a boy for sure!

Probably too blurry :/ Same boy on the left

The darker one seems to be developing a rose comb? Not sure...

Anyway, I'll try to get some better, clearer pics later :) So curious about these babies! I only have 5, with one obvious roo, and one that doesn't appear to be thriving like the rest :( So I'm REALLY hoping that the vigorous 3 are pullets!! Excited to see the feather colors coming in on them, too! I really appreciate any help!

Okay, better face pics now :)

Cockerel with chick #1

Chick #1 with chick #2

Chick #2 with chick #3

Another shot of chick #3

This is the only shot of the sickly chick :(

Soooo any thoughts??

My sickly chick is still doing okay, it's just much smaller and less feathered than its siblings. We'll see how it fares, its eating/drinking normally and fairly active. The last time I had a runty chick like this, it wound up dying :( But I've got my fingers crossed!!
