Icelandic Chickens

I have a record here! Mary doesn't believe me, but it is true, I swear!

See this chick on the right:

It's one of Mary's non-standard ameraucana's. And I caught it crowing yesterday at ONE DAY old.

Oh goody, another cutie-pa-tootie for me to love on when I bring your incubator back!

If/when you get an egg, I wanna see it in person. They look amazing in photo's!

I posted on the Easter Hatch thread about your cutie!!

Just wanted to let you know that Chickie Mama is officially brooding 11 Icelandic eggs!!

LareePDQ here in Phx just got a couple of emu eggs at the ostrich festival yesterday, we were all jealous. If we get this new place, I'm definitely going to have to do turkeys and emus as well. I have big plans, a pond, greenhouse, lots more garden and fruit trees, not to mention room for chickies to run!

I'm gonna have to drive out there and check you place out Bob... you know my place well!!!

I rehomed my white Icelandic roo.

I'm sticking with Vindur... he's the largest and most handsome

Morning all, wanted to report on the eggs I recieved from Kathyinmo and Notafarm Mary, they are in the bator, lost power for 23 hours and I put 3 candles in the bator while off, kept it up to 90+ degrees, (the hatch that came off a few days after the power outage hatched out great!!!) The Candles sure made the bator smell better too!!! LOL I did a candle on the eggs last weekend and they all look great, only had two clears and one nasty one(the cracked one Kathy, my tape didn't work
