do these birds have a standard ?

If you read post # 1 you will see that the first Icelandic hatching eggs were imported into the US in 2003. That would hardly give time for a proposed standard for any breed. However, there will likely never be a standard for these most beautiful birds due to their nonconforming traits. Every one is unique!​

This thread has been so much fun to follow- and I am curious also- if they vary so much, it would be hard to establish a standard, but is there ANYTHING they must all have besides "pure" blood lines?

Kathy, wow, look at that difference in feathering! They are both beautiful.

Jolet......I'm not positive, but so far, I think the only standard is that they lay white eggs.
