Icelandic Chickens

THose are a beautiful set of chicks Kathy, it'd be hard to send them off for me. Real hard !

My darkest chipmunk is the smallest by a long shot, half the size of the other three, eats, drinks, just way small.

In other news, Chester the goose hatched this morning with a little help.. I'm amazed at how thick his shell and and membranes were!! My 4 year old thinks he's super cute..

and I've also almost got our friends little coop finished.. just the ramp, food shelf and small details now.. should be able to have it all finished in time for Mother's Day..

Day 19 on the new hatcher set, so far all temps stable and humidity at 65%.

Just reporting in that my eggs are still egg-like.


OH! Quick question: Ok, so I know the joke is Icelandics pop early, but HOW early? When should I unplug the turner? Day 18 like normal? Day 16 to be safe?

Just got a call from the p.o. uhhhhh- your chicks are on their way, missed the truck this morning, so they are delivering to various towns, should be here around noon she thought ,will call when they get there!!!
