Icelandic Chickens

Here's what I found today when I went to check for eggs.

And she DID bite me. Her belly is plucked clean and has been for weeks. I wish she'd just get it over with and go broody. But nope, she lays her egg and off she goes.

Here you go Gramma Mary! Since I had my camera, I decided to get pictures of the Icelandics - well, sort of.

I don't know how you do it, they are sooooo darn FAST!

Briet kept chasing my green light for the focus, so she was "difficult" today. This was all I managed to get (that is decent) of her today. Thank goodness for digital camera's!!!!!

Ok today I shipped eggs to AK Michelle, collected eggs for Laree (

That's too bad.. LOL wrong side of the State.. pretty though.. I spent quite a bit of time there when I worked for the State Red Cross. Are you driving in from Boise or flying to Lewiston? Hope you have a great trip..

We will be driving the whole way and taking three vehicles.

YIKES!! That's a 1300 mile trip (ETA each way) I don't envy you!! At least it's not winter... You'll have to keep your eyes open as you cross North Dakota because there is supposed to be a gorgeous woman behind every tree. Too bad there aren't any trees!!

If you decide to take the scenic route a little to the south.. Let me know and we'll fix you dinner or something..

10 people is nothing.. When we get together at my parents for Thanksgiving, we have to go to the church and use the gym.. They have 52 grandkids, 13 kids, 10 spouses.. that's 77 mouths if we're all there.. BTW that requires a lot of mashed potatoes!! Big families are fun...
