YAY for Skye! How many eggs did she have? I forgot. Oh, never mind .... 3.

Hoping for speedy and safe journey for the babies!

Oh, by the way........... Kola is back on the nest.

Skye is such a pretty mama, even with the look, and the chick is cute too!!

for a short and safe trip for Shawn's chicks!

Maybe Kola thinks it's too hot to sit on a nest for 21 days......can't blame her. Eggs could incubate without a hen here.....96 yesterday....97 today. Chickie Mama was on hers when I came home from work this afternoon. I'll be giving her a nice cool piece of watermelon as a treat later. Love that girl! Asta is outside with her chick today with the flock. Everyone seems to have faired well so far with the heat.

KathyinMo I hope to get some pics this week/weekend, I am doing security for the 'Noreaster Festival' this next couple days but going to make some down time for me too, part of that time is also at the SAR booth, with my hound. So not starting any new projects. This run took longer because it has a top on it, a LOT of hawks and owls here, so had to put a frame to hold the chicken wire up. Cant donate any meals to local raptors no matter how protected they are.

My little guys are a week old already and are showing all kinds of interesting feathering !

Does anyone have an Icelandic Unicorn? I was looking at the chicks today and realized that the 2nd brown one from Kathy is developing a unicorn comb...

You can't see it super great in the picture but he has a flat comb with one single point growing at the very back.. Should be interesting to see how it turns out..

Mary,
Hope your little goat is improving.
I moved some eggs out of the Sportsman, into the hatcher, last night. I took a peek at the Icelandic eggs..... not all of them, but about 20 or so. Most of them were developing.

I've been following this thread pretty much since it started and just love these chickens. I really wish I didn't have so many projects going on so I had room for some Icelandics. Keep up the good work!
