Michelle that is one beautiful hen to lose, no idea of why??
I have a pullet coming on that I hope will look like her.
Mary I promise pics are coming, I have some now of Isison to post, one of the four Chicketeers. Him, Blau, The Contessa and a lookalike Isi roo of the june hatch. i have been spending a lot of time on the ark but its all coming to an end soon.
Today I started on the signs. After hanging a couple of interior LED lights. We will have some pics to take of the goat loading, and along the trip, it has to be faster then I'd planned as my sons return flight is sat afternoon the 24th.
Its a chevy, not a ford, although either is fine with me, I think its a bit larger then a suburban. But it will be loaded. It gets 18+ mpg around here but I will be lucky to get 14 with it loaded and pulling the Ark.
The Ark weighs right at 2,000 lbs.
I am really looking forward to getting to Cusick, this fall I am 'camping in' until the critter shed is up and the hay and other grocerys are laid in, plus firewood etc, then its life on the mountain side, albeit the altitude there is only 2300', but five miles west its close to 6,000. All good hiking land.
Life is good, and better with Icelandic Chickens and Pack Goats !
