Icelandics Egg are small and bright white. Pretty!

Beautiful eggs. My buttercup lays white eggs, but they are a creamy kind of white. Those are REALLY white!

Well I have had an unfortunate time incubating the Icelandic eggs through no fault of my girls! The temp in the Brinsea was 3 degrees lower than the digital readout. The first two died without pipping. I figured out what was going on and corrected the problem. This morning I had my first Icelandic chick hatch! I believe this egg is from Henna. The baby seems alert and active and noisy! I am over the moon!

And, I have a dozen or so in the back-up incubator due in the next three weeks!
