Icelandic Chickens

Thanks for all the wonderful interest in the Icelandics. I can tell you Sigrid has been reading and she is impressed with the interest as well and is going to write up a history of the Icelandics and her involvement with them. I will wait for her to finish but I will spill a tiny secret. She was the first to bring the eggs to the USA. I was always confused by that because two of her original hens are now 11 years old! She sent me some wonderful documents including her 2000 Christmas card!

I have 10 eggs incubating with the first scheduled to hatch next week. Stay tuned!

Thanks guys! This current hatch of slackers is not a confidence builder though. Hope the non-shipped Icelandics fare better. I am being patient tough. Good things come to those who wait. Right?
