Icelandic Chickens

Have to grab laptop from work so I can upload pics after they hatch.....will be sometime tomorrow afternoon. But hoping when I wake up I will have a couple waiting for me

YAY! first icelandic is OUT!!!! so small and cute i also had a dorking and another basque hatch this morning ( i checked at 7 and they hadn't hatched). I have another icelandic pipping now!
I really want to get some of the hatchee's out of there though, they are so active and there are still a bunch of eggs to hatch yet! plus i don't like how close they are to the heathing element (hova bator), but i also have a bunch of pipped eggs . grrr...

ill post pics in a little, i need to run to the feed store to get supplies! I am fortunate that it was a dorking that hatched with the ice b/c i can only tell them apart b/c of the dorkings extra toe

That is why I hatch in egg cartons. Keep your hands off the bator! If you get a bunch that hatch at once, and the humidity spikes too high, then you can do a quick grab of chicks. I don't do it while anyone is zipping though.

yeah my humidity is pretty high around 75-77 i opened the vents to cool it down but i think there are just alot of bodies in there! im going to attempt a quick snatch this afternoon!
