Not sure why they quit but it's ok... The ones that do hatch will be that much stronger ... survival of the fittest .. including surviving the post office

Oh I might be getting some Icelandic eggs! I´m super excited!
Many many thanks I will check the Icelandic Facebook page and see what I can find for info over there as well. No blues in my flock. I will post a couple pics I have last years hatch which are producing this years hatch. I will try and get a picture of the little ones I have 1 3 wk old and 7 4 day olds and more in the hatcher. My little roo is pretty good at his job. I find that by day 19 they want out of that egg. its like popcorn popping.Hey Wee Acre Farm,
I am in Ohio and would imagine that the line that Muddy Hoof obtained was from Behl's importation. To my best of my knowledge I do not know of anyone in Ohio that had Sigrid's importation in that time frame. You may wish to join and ask your question in the Icelandic Chicken Facebook group, all the people who are responsible for the importations of Icelandics to the US are fairly active on there and may be able to help you discern where your flock originated. Do you have any blues in your flock?
