Thanks! He is from my favored rooster, Sven, and he is still pretty well behaved. I don't think he's figured out how to be a show off for the hens quite yet. He's supposed to go to freezer camp, but I keep trying to find excuses to keep him. I just love that fiery red color!

The severe cold is here. -9 tonight and high tomorrow -2. Down to -15 tomorrow night with -40 windchills

Mary - oh yes, the cold is back with a vengeance. I shoveled the driveway early when the air was fairly still. Just powder but still tiring.

It's cold here also. The Icelandic chickens are hanging out in the garage. Pardon the mess, but we hastily made room for the tractor before the cold hit.



Oh, and Trouble is in the "nesting box"
