And all 24 are in some stage of hatching, the first one is already totally out, a solid black with dark feet, already looks like a roo to me, I know it sounds odd but after seeing so many there are some little things about the way they are put together that even at birth somehow speaks male or female really loudly, the rest are all in different stages of zipping now and the most chirpy bunch I have ever had! I am now officially over run with Icelandics and I love it! My Behl second generation baby has just got in her new breast feathers and gone from light brown all over to totally mottled! Every single feather has a white tip, just beautiful and she has a perfect crest. Mary I have a roo from the Rala line that is EXACTLY like your white n red one, as well as a solid black, both crested! Talk about variety!
I am soooo excited to see what this hatch brings!

UPDATE; its just two hours later and ten are totally out, seven near dry already and three wet still, got some zipping and a few, about five haven't changed much since 11:00 AM.

Best and most consistent hatch ever!

Congratulations, Andy!

My one Icelandic pip (from Camelot) is peeping. I can hear it, but it isn't making much progress. The other 2 eggs have not pipped. I so hope they will all three hatch.

Good luck Kathy and Andy! I found the cutest, tiny pullet egg on the floor under the roost this morning. I may just have to slip it in the incubator for the Easter hatch. I wouldn't want to send it to a customer, right?

But I will wait and see how many eggs I get from Keri. I got 12 today from kathyinmo

and I think I will get the others tomorrow. I have a crazy thing about setting an odd number of eggs. Don't ask me why. I am a bit if a neat freak and something about the uneven rows in the incubator bugs me. But wait, Kathy sent me huge eggs and medium eggs so they might not line up anyway. Oh dear, this is a mess.
