I suppose I could dig out a couple of tiles between the recliner, emu pen and chick brooder and add a duck pond to my office.

See, I told you! You should have got the duck! You could put a kiddie pool in your run for it!

You have donkeys, emu's, goats, chickens.....................all you're missing are ducks and elephants!

Yesterday was moving day. Nine two-month-olds moved from the grow out pen to free range. Tonight 7 were on the low roost and 2 on the half wall (also called the poop wall):

The two on the half wall forced these three big girls off the top roost and took their places! Have faith Andy, these were once yellow chicks!

I then went up to the other coop with the layers and bantams. These five-week-old Icelandic babies literally moved from the brooder into the coop yesterday and tonight they took the top spot away from Judge Judy, Martha Stewart, Ginger and Marianne!

They never knew what hit them!

Icelandic chicks ROCK!

I love it! I can relate, too! That pen full of Icelandic chicks I had ..... they taught the other breeds how to roost! Honest! Those Sussex chicks absolutely would not roost. I put them all together and the younger Icelandics taught them!

They are roostin' little fools.

I am sure Kelly will weigh in soon on the abundance of combs in these pictures.
