I got the broodies all moved tonight to private quarters. The little peach hen who has been sitting the longest has 2 eggs due to hatch Sunday. The other three have 5 or 6 eggs due to hatch next Friday. I am pooped!

Edited to add: I just realized one of the eggs they had been sitting on is due to hatch on Sunday so I will slip it under Peachy tomorrow.

Good morning Michelle

Its north of Spokane, about 70 miles, a little village named Cusick, along the Pend Oreille River and on the edge of the Pend Orellie Natl Forest. Great hiking areas for 150 miles in every direction.

The Fab Five are Fab !!

Tomorrow I've GOT to get some pics of the remaining four Icelandics that Laree hatched out. They are all beautiful. One black with red flecks in the breast and a huge crest (single comb), One white with red tinted hackles, One reddish ...looks wheatenish, and one multicolored one that is just gorgeous, lots of dark feathers with whitish hackles.

Lukka has quite the assortment of babies this time! This one is particularly curious looking to me. It started out blonde then the wing feathers came in and the body came in white.

Here they all are. All four were blonde with the exception of the grey/orange one I added from the incubator!
