Kathy, I don't know.........I don't think they look alike....the comb is completely different.

My girls, too, have different coloring since their molt. I posted a pic of Anna but need to post again, she is getting more white! Asta is darker. No rhyme nor reason to them it seems! Gotta love 'em!!

In honor of you, here is my redhead, crested boy that I kept because of the crest....had a crest, wasn't showing comb or wattles...sooo....I thought he was a girl. He doesn't know it, but that crest probably saved his life. Now I'm going to keep him around because he is different than the other boys I've hatched. None of the the black-breasted-red types have had crests. I can't wait until the boys all mature to see what they end-up looking like. I wish I could keep them all until maturity but just no room for that. The second pic isn't the sharpest but you can see his mulitcolored feathering.

He certainly does Kathy! How neat that after a molt Kola has changed colors - just keeps life more interesting!

How's Lukka doing on those eggs Mary? Sorry I didn't have a chance to call you back, I had to help DH with some drywall in the garage.

Here's the other cockerel who drew the long stick and got to stay from the July hatches. I couldn't let him go..........too cool on the blue!! Kinda a male Kella!!! His name is Dreki (pronouned like it looks, means dragon) because he is firey hot!!

Yes, he does look like Isi, and my Isi Isison. There is also another younger one like him from Marys June 1rst hatch now living and crowing in Boise, Id.

The last roo pictured also is much like Blau, but doesnt show as much blue as Blau does.

Dreki is great looking, a keeper for sure ! Love to see what his chicks will look like !

I changed wet clothes twice today, digging post holes in the rain !
