I have spent most of the day gutting out the old coop that the Icees are in, down to vacuuming the floor.
re-did with fresh shavings and fixed up a few things...and next, tomorrow, will be fresh compressed soft straw for the nest boxes.
And fresh dust bath.

Picture of Bjorn and Frida taken today. They are my oldest Blue Isbars. So pretty. She looks like she should be getting ready to lay soon.

Thanks Kelly and Kathy. I just found out that the legbar I shipped yesterday made it in good condition so that is another worry lifted.

Lukka looks much better today. Her orbits are still red but the oozing around the eyes has stopped. I did notice that her comb looks pale and dry today so i moved the water right into her nest box. I hope she doesn't spill it but she is in the double sized box so it should be fine.

so this morning when Boston posted pics on FB of how cold and snowy it is up in Heber, I was thinking

I MISS MY ICELANDICS!.... and my blue wheaten roo

Tooooo funny! One of my Icelandic roosters just won't stay out of the nests! For the past 3 days he has been in and out of nests, calling the girls. He cracks me up. Well, today, I had 2 Icelandic pullets on nests! How old are they? Hmmm, I believe they hatched June 20.

Come on eggs!
