Icelandic Chickens

It dawned on me that I didn't post a Kella pic of the week this week, so......I went to find something because I haven't taken new pictures this week. I decided on this one, mostly because I thought it was such a cool pic of Anna's tush. Her contrasting black and white motttling makes for an interesting design don't you think? Also, the shape of the two of them is so close....almost as if they were the same hen but with different colors..........almost like a standard size and shape...........

Mary I was looking at this and Kella has her legs are crossed

I hadn't noticed that before! Very observant of you!

I got a pip from Hillbilly Hen's eggs! I should move the incubator to a different room and ask my sisters to watch and care for any that hatch until I get the test results back. I will have to keep myself away from them, unless I have showered and wearing clean clothes before going to the main flock. GAAH!! Life is sure is tough!

Looks like we are gonna have a spring-like day here today. Suppose to be 65!

I am going to take advantage of it, and I have a couple helpers coming over to help me and a couple other helpers I have here at home. We are gonna clean pens and coops and dust everyone! I have some rearranging to do, as well.

I am selling off a couple pens of roosters I have. That will help the feed bill. I might sell some others, as well.

You all have a great day!

Sounds like a busy day Kathy. Supposed to be 74 degrees here today! My fruit trees will probably all break out into bloom and then the next storm or freeze will knock them off and we won't get fruit again this year. Last year all we got were plums. I don't even know what the other trees are! I was hoping to find out this year.
