Icelandic Chickens

I got a PM today asking if I was selling the rooster, I replied that most people wouldnt pay that much, but, he is not for sale, I want to place him with a breeder,

he is the largest of his hatch, right from the beginning, is an excellent rooster, beautiful and full in his plummage, RC'd, all that he lacks for my flock is the featherlegs. In all other aspects he is a KEEPER.

If I have some kind of loss emergency Michelle will be in driving distance. I will be north of her a bit, not way north.

I am having a hard time loading a page online. It is taking me forever. Slower than dial-up, if you can believe that! Give me a couple days and I will be back (when I earn back some Wildblue time), I hope.

Bad news yesterday..... a stray dog came by. A little wiener dog. Suffice to say, it will not be visiting anyone again. That damnable little thing killed some of broody mama's chicks. She has only 3 chicks left with her now. I am sooooo angry.

Oh, so sorry Kathy!

My kids and I played hookey yesterday. We went to San Francisco for the day and visited the Academy of Sciences. On the way home, we stopped at Nifty's house and visited with him and his family. It was a very fun day, but I am SO glad I don't have to drive in San Francisco all the time - it's crazy driving down there!

My broody welsummer is still broody. I'm going to give her eggs on Tuesday. We will be out of town Mother's Day weekend and I don't want her hatching babies when we aren't here.

Hi Diva

The necessities all within 60 miles, and the living area is well worth it, once a month for restocking, great hunting close by, electricity and running water, better then I had in Wa,

I started my dog team yesterday, 2 female pups, hoping for a 3rd from the same litter and picking up another enroute in BC. Come winter will have a good freight team started. Might even train them on firewood in lengths.

For whoever is interested in the beautiful breeding Icelandic Rooster I will include 5 started Mille Fleur D'Uccles, little beauties but I just dont expect to have the right place for them in Alaska, they are sweet cuddly little things.

if you have a map its just a few miles from Caswell, north of Anchorage a bit. A large amount of shopping will happen in Willow . I am looking forward to seeing Michelles Icelandics and their new barn.

Good on ya for removing the menace, I have minus zero tolerance for dogs killing livestock. The .22 is always loaded and within easy reach, also the .45. Whichever is closest. Thanks for protecting someone elses livestock too.

Are you taking your pack goats Jake?

Kathy, so sorry about the chicks. I so hate the roaming dog saga. It never ends. Poor broody mama.

Gotta love that satellite internet huh Kathy? We just buy a token when they slap us down to dial-up speed. Hope the sell tokens in the Poor House!
