Icelandic Chickens

Happy Chooks, Could your beautiful white pullet with the black spots be the first paint Icelandic???
Possibly. I've never seen an Icelandic her color before. She also has lightly feathered shanks.

And shhhhhhh, don't tell my 8 year old. I've been telling him she's splash. He really wanted a splash chick, but Mary sent us all cockerel Isbar eggs and kept the pullets for herself.

OMG Kathy..........what is with you and all the broodies? And FYI, you hatch too much if you don't know how many chicks your broody has.

I seriously don't know how you do it. I've brooded 2 groups - the first group was 11 chicks and the 2nd was 12 chicks. I'm so happy they are all integrated now. On the horizon are my 2 broodies and their chicks! But at least they do most of the work!
