The cat was a boy - but I always call all the cats girls and all the dogs boys (the kids have given up trying to correct me, LOL!) Thought I had it right in my post, but I see that it is mixed up (like me, LOL) sorry for any confusion.

Two days later, they still run for under the deck, but don't stay long. I guess they're hoping the whole herd of cats will slowly show up under there for a buffet, sheesh!

Pollo Blanco - LOVE the avatar! My DD makes me say "Tastes like people" when I toss them chicken, LOL

Nature of the beast, like it or not. Chickens are omnivores...mine prove it to me constantly. Woe to the toad, mouse, baby bird, baby rabbit or anything else that has the misfortune to be in their path that is edible. Kind of remind me of miniature T-Rex dinosaur at times...easy to see what branch of the family tree they came off of.

He amended the article later and quit using that idea due to losing several birds to limberneck, poisening from the rotting flesh. If your chickens have not shown any ill affects so far they will probably be all right, but I would NOT want to risk the health of my pets to letting them eat rotting flesh.

That is in addition to the grossness factor!
