@cmknight I have been looking for the same breed, I have been unsuccessful and I have looked from Malad up to Boise. If I hear anything I will let you know.

Hello, I will be moving to CDA area later this year and am curious about the local laws for raising chickens. The ISDA website sounds like a permit is required? Or is that only if you have a certain # or want to sell the eggs? The area I currently live in has pretty relaxed laws as long as you don't piss off your neighbors so I don't want to be surprised when I get to Idaho if the laws are much stricter. Thanks in advance!

This permit is only if you have 30,000 hens or more. They just want to make sure you are putting the poop from 30,000 birds in the right place. I live in a small town in Idaho and the only regulation is no Roosters because they do not want to get phone calls from the neighbors. One thing I have learned in Idaho is everything is okay until the City gets a phone call.

There are a few ladies that live near and around CDA that can most likely answer your Q. I live south of CDA and do not know the laws and regulations of CDA.
Thanks and welcome to BYC

Hello Idaho! I'm in the Boise area and I'm looking for fertilized eggs to give to a broody hen, later this spring. I would just like to know what's available in the area. I am particularly looking for Olive Eggers, Americanas, or the chocolate brown egg layers. Thank you!
