Don't forget to plan on coming to Chickenstock in Idaho Falls on May 5th!!  We have lots of people coming from all around!!  Rick, you need to bring some Marans over!!!  Got several people coming to get them!!

Well I have pulled every string I know how to pull in order to make it but it's not going to happen. I'm to busy with Family and work. I would love to find someone from my area (Boise) who is going though, who would be willing to take a load of my chicks with them. I would be willing to make a deal with whoever would be willing to take them.

I'm pretty sure that Michelle from QCU Poultry will be there with some Marans and she has fantastic birds. If she's not her farm is in Paul Idaho which would make for a nice side trip to pick up some birds.

Shawn how many chicks do you think I should send with her. I think you have a better idea of attendance than I do. I have a large hatch that I put in for this event plus I could send some older chicks as well. Let me know what you think.

ROLO---I would take three straight run, or 2 sexed The older the better. If you have fertile eggs for sale I would also take a dozen or less if you have less-- Could pay you via paypal ahead of time, or at the event whichever you prefer

Michelle said she might not make it, has horses due that weekend I would love more of hers, but a little far with kiddos at home and soccer season for a side trip

Rick... I would send whatever Susan has room for... my guess is she won't be taking any back home.... As far as actual attendance... I will let you know on Saturday night how we did..LOL I really don't know what to expect... I have had a lot of people on BYC say they are planning on coming... have 4H clubs from as far away as Salmon say they are coming... just don't really know.. Hopefully the paper, radio and tv news will have stories on the event next week before Saturday and that will boost the local participation too... I'm planning to be able to give each 4H kid 3 chicks.. but it wouldn't surprise me at all if they end up buying some others from breeders as well... chicken math is taught early in 4H.. LOL

Whenever you have a free event... it's anyones guess what actual attendance will be until it's over.. Hopefully everyone that has expressed interest actually shows up or I am going to have waaaayyy more chicks than I have room for Saturday night!!!.
