cause of all the DD DH and stuff i'm like what the heck are they talking about.. so i'm gona take a guess you are meaning goats or something.. but then i read highschool and fireballs then i was like ohhh they are talking about live human children... By the way Congrats Shawn.. and glad that porter is alert at least hope he will be back on his feet soon

BYCL--your post made me laugh lol DD= Dear Daughter, DS=Dear Son, there is a list somewhere on family member acronyms I remember thinking the same thing the first time I saw it.

I lucked out with 6, now 6 grandkids to boot. My aforementioned son, the oldest boy, is bipolar and gave us quite a challenge, but it has been fun, and interesting for sure :D Our oldest DD is turning 30 next month. Fun bunch. Wish more were still at home though, it is getting pretty quiet around these parts.

Robbo I like that little flock, what kind of duck is the brown one again? So cute!

we have DD almost 17, then DSs 14, 12, almost 10 & almost 10, 6 DD almost 2 and now this new DD the end of August. I really gotta get moved out on the farm so I have enough chores for them... making rock piles, moving rock piles.. and for the problem children, breaking rock piles... LOL

I come from a family of 8 - all girls. I tell you, girls need rock piles too!! lol. Funny coincidence, my dad keeps a pile of rocks for his grandsons...
Yes, I see a LARGE farm in your future

I got Porter back out to the barn about one and then ran in to meet the DW for her ultrasound... when I went back out tonight to do the chores, Porter was laying in the same spot in the barn that he was when I left this afternoon... He's alert but definitely not active... not normal for the big guy... I'll probably make a special trip out tomorrow sometime to check on him, give him another penicilin shot and some loving..

for those who caught it... we're having a girl..
Congrats on the baby! I hope Porter is feeling well soon, poor pup... They get so sad and depressed when they are sick. My younger Shepard mix was hit by a car a few months back, and he was so no himself while he was healing.
Here is my little flock :) It is there first night out in the coop tonight. *sigh* I am a worried mama!
Nice! You need more, though....

I think we have 3 acres of rocks!! I swear they all had babies over the winter too because there are definitely more rocks on top of the ground than last Fall... I must have a rare form of igneus petrificus that multiplies when buried by snow...

Congrats Shawn!!! Yes, you have plenty of rock piles that need moving, lol... Soo sorry to hear about Porter... one thing about it that is crazy is he is the NICEST dog, seriously.. what is with people... you COULD be raising fighting birds and have a pitbull farm, for pete sake!!

Snicker snort, too funny! I think a truckload of rocks on the way back might not be so good for my fuel mileage! Chickens and eggs however weigh nothing.

I have three one year old laying hens available. One brown egg layer and two blue egg layers. 30.00 takes all three. Must go together. The silver ameraucana is a bit of a wild child but the other two are pretty tame.
