Other than the state fair, what all do we have for shows? Looking at getting a SQ silkie soon.

Hi JenS9,

Here is a link that lists most the shows. http://www.poultryshowcentral.com/ Next month we are heading to the Utah show in Layton and then we will do the double point show here in Caldwell Nov 2nd.
Hope you find just the right Silkie for you :) I am afraid to touch one because, they look so soft and if they are as soft as they look then I would have to have some...lol

Thanks! I poked around there a little yesterday, but was hoping there was more!

And they are! Super super soft!

Anybody here breed rabbits? I'm looking for large french lops and flemish giants.

Michelle there is a rabbit show at the Rupert fairgrounds on 9-28-13. there is always rabbits for sale at the show. I am trying to get work switched around so I can go. My youngest got Grand Champion for her Jersey Wooly at the Cassia fair so she wants to go see how he will do at the real show.

Hey, I hope this is the right place to post this, but I have a gorgeous Blue Orpington cockerel that needs a home. I got him as a fertile egg from a guy in Emmett who works with Blue Orps and Swedish Flower hens and and his Orpington lines were stunning. Anyway, I'm in Nampa, so if anyone close by is interested, he's about 11 weeks old right now.
I'd be happy to sell him for only $5.00 to a fellow BYCer....

Thanks,
Sarita

Keep them away from me hahaha. Not even one touch.

Yeah Idaho is building on people who show someday, maybe there will be more shows. Traveling around to the bordering states is fun. Split the time between hanging at the show and exploring the area.

Funny that soft feathers come up today. I was sitting out in the chicken coop and petting chickens, more to see if they were doing the squat thing since it is time for them to lay. We have some lf cochins. Oh my but those feathers are sooooo soft! I swear they are as soft as the microfiber blankets and a lot poofier. :D

Next year... for sure. Maybe the show in UT and the one in WA too....

I'm tempted to show one of my silkies I have currently, just for the experience. They aren't great quality, but I don't think they have anything that will disqualify them... I need to look at the list again... But next year.. I am determined to get ribbons! LOL
