Idaho?

Yes I am Hattie's sister, I feel so lost without her. I have had the older chicks outside some, on the warm days and in the garage at night with the light also . I guess I just need to do more research on these cute chicks . I'm worried about knowing how to tell if any are roosters. My limit is 6 hens so I will have to thin some out, that will be hard for sure. hope to meet you one day.
You are welcome to come over to the house or the barn for a gender identification lesson anytime.. I live by Hillcrest and the barn is out east of town...

Welcome to BYC!!

Anyone here in North Idaho that can help my daughter with some feathers for her 4-H project. She is looking for the following feathers: Laced, double laced, penciling, mottling and spangled so she can complete her 4-H project on different feather patterns. We are in the Cda area and willing to come pick them up.

That sounds like a neat project. If you do not have success here try the Washingtonians thread. The Washington thread is very active.

Will you post pictures of your daughters project when she is finished? Im curious to see what she is doing with them

2 of my teenagers are cockerels which I won't be able to keep.... One is an EE, columbian pattern.. I think will be a really pretty roo and a good roo at that, he's already calling the other chicks when I throw treats into the run!! (about 8 weeks old) The other is a BR, he's the less dominant of the two cockerels and a bit flighty, but looking like he will be a good-sized bird also, he is also about 8 weeks old... PM me for details=)

After filling the last of my pullet orders yesterday, I have extra available if anybody is interested. Black copper marans (25.00 each), 2nd generation straight combed olive eggers (15.00 each), and there are some marans cross project pullets in my grow-out pen as well. Extra cockerals are 5.00 to 10.00 and include the following: wheaten ameraucana, blue wheaten ameraucana, silver ameraucana, bantam cochin, olive egger, marans cross, and black copper marans. In addition, I'll probably have some extra muscovy ducks available in August or September.
