Idaho?

Pics
Hey there Idaho!

Totally off the chicken topic but I was wondering if there are any trophy hunters here? I am writing a paper for my composition class and I'd like to get the outlook of somebody that actually hunts big game such as bear, wolves, and cougars. It is strictly exploratory and will have no bias...I just need that other side to the story. If you are interested can you please PM me. It will only be a few questions over the internet and won't take up too much of your time.

Thanks!

Mesha--there is a Steve Regan co here in Logan, and in SLC, not sure where else, they sell 50 lb bags for ??30 bucks ish. I bought one for 24 but the price went up after and not sure exactly how much. You could see if there is one in IF?
What are you getting at Michelle's?

That's a good price, there's not a steve regan co here, but there are several feed mills, I should probably take some time and just call arond and see what I can find... unless someone else knows??

I'm getting the blue mottled bantam cochin pullet and the clean-faced amer from Michelle=) I'm going this Saturday... soo excited!!

Will be working on the coop expansion at my mom's also, YAY!!!

My big girls are starting to molt, the EE's started first, so the egg basket is not so colorful now, it's kind of sad, so are the girls, poor things...
On that note, my OE pullet laid for about a month and hasn't laid for almost a month now, she doesn't look sick (was reading that some hens do this weird internal laying thing and she isn't doing that), doesn't have mites, and is not broody.. I've been trying to figure out if something stressed her that would cause her to stop, but she's been with the other girls just like normal, not sure what her deal is.... If all of them had stopped, I would think it was food-related or some other environmental thing, but that's not the case... Not sure what to think about her...

Lots of us on the Utah thread were just saying this today, a drop in eggs the last few weeks. maybe the weird weather patterns, who knows!?

I will have to make a trip to IF and check out your fun project when you get it done, Sounds exciting! Did you see Sphinx' webcam this weekend? She hatched two of the cutest chicks. I cannot wait to start hatching again. Trying to wait until the first of the year :)

Have fun getting your new babies. Love visiting Michelle's she has a little bit of everything. And lots of some things too :) My kind of place!

Rolo Farms raises blue copper marans. He posted above. Here's his webpage: http://www.rolofarms.com/

I might have a spare wheaten marans pullet or two late September, but I can't call them breeder quality as I haven't done any test matings to check quality, yet.
If you have a few spare I would like to acquire them. Could I possibly pick them up in Oct. when/if I get a blue copper marans from Rolo Farms? And how much would you charge?
Thank you.

Pretty pics on the rolo farms website... sounds like there's going to be a bunch of cool chickens in Idaho!!

I'm going to Michelle's place on Saturday to pick up 2 pullets, can't wait!! Started cleaning the shed at my mom's for the coop expansion=)

I had a pretty big response to an ad I placed and are now down to just what I'm keeping on the Blue Coppers. I do have 2 spares I'm growing out and it's possible that in October I could be convinced to part with one so contact me then.

Thanks for the comment on my website. I really need to find some time to update some things including some pictures. My girls (the ones in my profile pic) turned 2 Monday and basically dictate how I spend any free time I may have....not that I'm complaining one bit....I wouldn't want it any other way.

You will love Michelle's birds, they are fantastic!!

Welcome JULIE glad you found us. Also have to agree on michelles birds they are wonderfull birds. I have some of her marans and ameracaunas.
