Also, for those chicken fanciers in SE Idaho, Vickers Western Stores in Idaho Falls and Pocatello have begun to carry chicken stuff like feeds, oyster shell, and grit. Awesome, and thanks for the info about Vickers.. we seriously need some more options around here, I went to email them and my mind totally went blank, so I need to think about it and write them back...

My Marans BSL finally started laying this week!!! WOO-HOO!!! She is about 36 weeks old... Nice big black bird with the gold BSL coloring on her neck... I guess she is a cuckoo Marans and BO cross... either way, she's a big girl, and her eggs are almost full-sized, a pretty dark red color.. I was SOOO happy!!

Asked Vickers if they could stock food-grade Diatomeceous Earth..lol, pretty sure I spelled that wrong!
