Those are two good choices. The reason I told you Houdans is because I saw them at a local place where my grandparents live, she also has Crevecoeurs! I totally forgot to tell you about them but glad you saw them! The lady was breeding them together to get a mix of crev/houdans and the chicks were BEAUTIFUL! but for pure breed, I would go with Mottled Houdans, They are cold hardy I think you just need to be careful in the winter with their crests getting wet. They are supposed to be good "pets" for children because of their calm disposition. The males can be flighty though. I know they are non-sitters so your incubators will be full alot. lol.
plus they are PRETTY! Let us know what you choose! Crevecouers are somewhat the same but I think a little more flighty (well atleast that ladies I saw were crazy)!
