Ideal SOLD OUT til may

Silkie Chicken is right. It is a guessing game, although an educated one, as to how many chicks will hatch each hatch. For example last Wednesday we had abut 4,000 extra chicks of various breeds so we were able to pull a lot of people off the waiting list. It also really depends what breed you are looking for. Some breeds are available sooner than others, but because most retail orders have so many breeds on them and many breeds are sold out until May, we are trying to keep people from being upset when they are given a May ship date by letting you know the availability situation up front.

We do still have about 40,000 chicks available the week after Easter so give us a call to see if we have the breed you are looking for.

One poster stated that it is a quality control issue. That is not the case. We are hatching at full capacity. We have never seen anything like this yar in the 70 plus years we have been in business. In the past we may have been sold out for a week or two on specific items, but never completely sold out for over 5 weeks. I will not complain. With the economy like it is I am thankful to have a successful business, not affected by the recession.

We appreciate all of you that continue to support us.

I will be putting in a new order soon. If I put it in now and some of the chicks are available ow, will the order be split? With whos' available being sent out now and those sold out being sent later? Or do I have to wait till theyre all available at once.

That would be up to you. If you are willing to split it, please tell the person that you are speaking with.

Ordered silver-laced wyandottes Thursday with a ship date of April 15th, but we only ordered 10 chicks.

Teri -

Thanks for contacting me about adding the oriental games I wanted to my March order instead of waiting. It looks like they would have been unavailable and then out of season if I put it off.

Hi folks,
I'm new to posting so I hope this works. I'm also new to chickens. I retired recently and that's another story.
How ever I was surprised when I saw how many hatcheries were sold out of the breeds I wanted. Right now I've got buff orpingtons, Autralorps, red frizzles, dominiques, delawares, marans (I think, dominique chicks look very similar), Silver and golden wyandottes. I'm expecting , sussex, javas, chantacleres, and I forget the other on May 27th. Don't tell my wife.
Twenty four chick right now, twelve to come. So I think more people are buying chickens. Have two friends who had 6 or 12 and are increaseing their flocks. Gotta go dinners ready.
