I don't really understand the negative comments about Ideal

I have order from them several times and their OEGB's are Beautiful Birds

Purchased some Golden Campines and had them sexed got just what i order too and they were Beautiful when they were grown.

Also if your chicks die after you recieve them thats not Ideals fault most young chicks die because of human error in their care more than anything else.
Use only clean sanitary brooders and sterilize your waters if they are used ones, have sufficent heating for them and the best chick starter you can get.
For bantams in the first days you may have to crush the starter to make it smaller for them to eat it.
Provide a place out of traffic where they can eat and drink without being frightened, keep their brooder clean, warm (not hot), uncrowded they need room to run and provide them with food and clean water 24/7

I have been following this for 7 years and i rarely have a chick to die.

I don't understand all the negative comments either.

Heck, last Spring I got my shipment from Ideal and just happened to get the chicks when Ideal had MG get into some of their stock. I lost quite a few of what they sent and when I added my Ideal chicks to the ones I had hatched here and bought from TSC, I started losing some of those chicks too. I ended up with about half of what I had bought and hatched. But bad things happen to everyone, I don't hold it against them. I have gotten every shipment on time, my two other shipments had no losses, they have great customer service and have no problem refunding you if something happens or you get the wrong birds. I will keep ordering from them, they have an awesome selection of breeds and colors that most of us wouldn't be able to get any other way. Around here its mostly farmers that only have Leghorns and Sex Links for egg production...not much variety.

My birds might not be what others think is show quality, but everyone that sees my birds thinks they are beautiful. They are healthy now and are super sweet birds and thats all that matters to me.

So I thank Ideal for being there for us!!!

Yes, I saw that too! However, I've just added another breed today by clicking "buckeyes" and will have to change things around to have decent breeding/seperation pens for this bunch. Hubby might go bonkers if he had to make more coop space.
