Thanks Jed. I’m just curious with all the puffy feathers around its head. I e never had a chick look like that and feathers on the feet.Probably an olive egger. It's a little too young to be accurate about gender yet. Watch size and color of its comb over the next few weeks. A lot of development in the comb before 12 weeks generally means you have a cockerel.
Thanks! How can you tell? I have been trying to compare wings to pics online. It’s so hard to tell. Not sure of breed but that's a boy.
Thank youOlive eggers have mixed parentage. The head tuft could comb from a cream Legbar parent, and the feathered legs from a Marans parent.
The comb is pink and larger than i'd expect from a pullet at that age. Thanks! How can you tell? I have been trying to compare wings to pics online. It’s so hard to tell.
Wing sexing isn't accurate. You're looking for comb and wattle development at this age. I'd say he's a male OE/EE.Thanks! How can you tell? I have been trying to compare wings to pics online. It’s so hard to tell.
