They start laying at different paces. Don't worry, your third hen will start up sometime soon.

I would suggest you do a thorough search of your yard. You may have a stash of eggs somewhere. If you keep your girls in their all day for a couple of days, you'll definitely know how many eggs are being laid. If you have one that prefers to lay outside the coop/nest box, it will help her make the choice to use a nest box. At least, it should.........

the chooks were free because the people who had them are tight and they wernt eating all the eggs and couldn't justify spending $20/month on keeping them... I'm happy though.

So are the chooks, they wernt treated very nice at their previous home.
