In all of this global warming, climate change, handwringing, there exists an ironic quandry.....The same people who think that the world is overpopulated and just will not survive that scourge, are the same ones who are screaming that we should do something about the climate, because, "Oh, My God!!!!! Billions are going to die" Go figure.

Overall I would be inclined to fail his lack of knowledge concerning ecology and consider his point of view a very poor one to base plans on.

It was entertaining but loaded with half-truths and part of entertainment value is because of the twists. He states we should stop interfering and implies that means stop trying to protect. Interference is our land managment, industry, poorly regulated (unstainable take of fishery, wildlife and forestry products). He also contends we are transient, I have no intentions of being such. Being sentient enables at least a concerted attempt at long-term survival. If you do not feel sentient, then do not expend the mental effort and also get out of way of those that are prepared to make sacrifices for and reap benefits of long-term survival.

"foolishness and arrogance of the human" most of the problems existing today were not created by the ones who are trying to solve them, so in this situation you should say "foolishness and arrogance of the humans who destroy and have an hard time helping who want to protect". Nobody is a saint of course, but what goes around comes around.

Those businesses were already in place- they're called Oil Companies, Recyclers and Auto Manufacturers.
So-called "global warming" has been shot full of so many holes, they had to start calling it "climate change".
Everyone can sit here and post links to bolster their theories and the links are no better than what the person's opinion are who wrote them. The internet, wikipedia and what have you are not Gospel and every source of information is completely manipulated to assist your arrival to the author's conclusion.
A little common sense is in order regarding global warming. Just the fact it has been spun and repackaged over the past two years should tell you it's pure charlatainism.

Let's look at the self destructive attitude of the environmentalists. In today's world, that doesn't mean a farmer who has figured out the wisdom of contour plowing and crop rotation.

Along comes a bunch of self righteous, [sentient] arrogant environmentalists, who's real agenda is to destroy capitalism, at all costs, and, through legislation, are able to get the irrigation water shut off to many farms in the California Central Valley.....Why? Some little backwater minnow called the Delta Smelt.. A 2" minnow, which serves the lower end of the food chain.

Now, thousands of acres of good farmland sit idle, thousands of farm workers out of a job, and towns disappearing, for lack of commerce.

The fish lives, the people die.....HOOOORAY!!!!! Mission accomplished......Yet, you say that you are sentient about the condition of the earth, because you'd like to stick around a while...Hard to do that, without food.

As George Carlin pointed out, they really don't care about the trash. They just like their area to be clean and pristine....Go ahead, get your grapes from Chile or Mexico. Somehow, I doubt if they are worried about the Delta Smelt.
