Hi Gretchen,

She's six years old. She has to see him this weekend for visitation and whenever I have to bring her I feel like throwing up because I'm so scared. It's very hard to find someone to say that they'll give up every other weekend to help with exchanges, especially when you tell them what's happening.

Suzy

I can NOT even imagine.

Under the circumstances does he have to have supervised visits? It doesn't sound like it from what you said. I'd be feeling the same kind of raw emotions as you. I am so sorry she and you have to experiance this. I hope for a better outcome for you.

hugs all around,
gretch

Hi Gretchen,

His visits are unsupervised by an outside agency, although they used to be, until the agency decided that he was a "good father".

Right now he's persuaded the judge and legal guardian that he's a concerned father even though he's offered to "surrender his parental rights" because he said that he didn't want to "pay for her".

Grrr.

who said they would pay for a panic button, funeral etc etc?

The District Attorney State Crime Victims Board. They felt that he was enough of a threat to me.

What? But they're making you stay in the same state as he? That's craziness!

for you. My ex started getting physically abusive with me and I got out of that marriage asap. I feel so bad for you and your little DD.

Is there any way you can go into one of those programs that sort of "hide" you and your child from this guy? I just dont understand how the courts can find that he's this much of a threat - 4 trials -and they know he's this way, yet they continue to let him do this?

You need to get his threats on tape - keep a hidden digital recorder on you every time that man comes near you.. do not incite him in any manner, let him hang himself on it all. That way its not "he said she said" in a manner of speaking.

I'm so sorry you're having to endure this - this is an outrage to you and to your daughter, let alone speaks volumes at your court system and the judge.
