If you are warmer than -58........

i do not envy you. 2 years ago I spent three winter months in Lyman, Wyoming building my sons house. (he couldn't get motivated enough to build it in the fall when it was still nice) It was 43 below zero with a 30-40mph wind most of the time I was there. Not fun......

Sorry if mine seemed like I didn't know people who LOVED snow, I do... but even as a kid I didn't care for it... even on a school day! Crazy right? I'm the weirdo. Many folks down here love the snow on the flukey times it's here. Unfortunately we don't get much of the fluffy. It tends to go straight from 50's and sunny to freezing and sleet... and since we don't get much real winter weather most people don't know how to drive safely in it... thus the number of accidents increase... that makes me NERVOUS... in addition to just being cranky about cold. I'm a total baby about cold, really. And my standard of cold is constantly made fun of by friends who love cold. Likewise when they whine about the heat I just say "I'm comfy" and get the same look I gave them back.

Some of the pictures of your neck of the woods are just glorious... to look at

so I can understand why you might just LOVE the view from your porch.

Even reading descriptions in books about Alaska... amazing.

But, there are quite a few songs that mention the beautiful Texas skies (dogs, ladies, cowboys, oh and scenery) for a reason.

Here is a view that is just a 5 minute drive from my house.

And a sunset from our kitchen window.

We are -58 Fahrenheit not Celsius.

Randy ~~ Whoo hooo isnt it a good feeling to have it break!

-58F = -50C

I so agree with AK, as I do not mind the cold if there is no wind. And dry cold IS much different then damp cold!

Okay it's going to be +50's tomorrow so in great spirit I am going to wear shorts all day!

I live in the PNW in Washington State and now I am sweating just thinking about that kind of COOOOOOOOOLDness.

Hopefully it will be an Indian Summer?

Yes i know it was -58c that you wrote. I was doing the conversion for my own benefit as we work in C here not F. Think I did it right. -58F=-50C. Either way, way to darn cold for this warm climate girl.

Paula PERFECT examples of what I meant.

Absolutely STUNNING, but there's no way I could enjoy it while my teeth chatter.

A good example of a Texas sky... up in Plano, so not too far from me...

I love that blue and it just goes on and on and on...
The coldest, most miserable days in Texas still have those beautiful blues.
