If you buy meat from the store, how the heck do you think it got there

i personally don't think we should test OUR meds and cosmetics on THEM. where does that help them at all? how is it fair to them? how is it right? for food, i guess. other animals eat each other. but they don't abuse each other. i try to think the way animals do, in my opinion, the way nature intended. if the animal has a nice life and does not suffer when it is killed, then it would be like any other animal out there. they live their life, and then something one day might get them. i probably sound like the wierdest person ever right now, but i think if everyone thought about the animal world, the world would be better. i'm not sure.

There are a few medicines out there that without testing/actually utilizing the animal's parts etc.....wouldn't be in existence. I feel strongly that human health comes before animal health but testing for cosmetics is yes, superficial.

PeTA is against the ownership and use of all domestic animals, whether for food or for pets. Why would you support them?

Most of the meat at schools now is actually vegetarian, or at least at my highschool. I like it that way Im against meat really my dad doesn't like the whole vegetarian thing I did for a whole summer so I just eat alot less maybe twice a week. Id rather raise my own chickens to eat because I know their healthy, happy, and I know what they have ate and how they are raised, I just could never butcher them myself I would want to know it was as painless as possible though. I do not buy KFC totally against it (my mom got coupons in the mail I shredded them SHHHH!), I do not agree with how large commercial chicken farmers raise and butcher their chickens. Sometimes their are so many chickens in one place they get amonia burns, do you really wanna eat that? and so many chemicals and things to make them grow so fast they can't walk and rats can easily get to them. I definatly do NOT want to eat that. Try to explain that to your son's teacher. Totally agree with you "TheDuckCrew", but I wouldn't mention the "P" word you'll get in trouble because some people don't really agree with them here, already found that out.

They also test "MARS" candy on animals, so I never eat snickers, skittles, starburst, 3Muskteers, Twix, MilkyWay and a bunch of other stuff. I only eat Hersheys.

I was wondering the same thing, I had always heard chocolate was bad for animals. I will admit as a child I did my part to support the major candy makers. I think that is why most times I do not care for candy now. Though I am a sucker for cheesecake.

I think they test it on them for adequate fillers or a cheap source of food. All the more reason to raise your own or support a local farm...
