If you could breed pure breeds

Silkies all day, and partridge to be specific lol.. A close friend raised some show quality australorps and they were pretty but they were kindof bland looking to me and they took a lot more feed to upkeep em

Not me. Silkies sound like they have a nice personality, but I personally don't like their look.
I understand, they really are very sweet chickens though. Really great with small children who just HAVE to hold them and cart them around. But they aren’t for everyone! My husband thinks they’re ridiculous looking haha.

I'm one of the rare chicken keepers who dislikes crests, boots, silky fluff and curls. I like my hens sturdy and perfect. I'm fine with any comb type, egg or feather color, leg color....but I don't want a frizzle who is freezing in winter because her feathers don't hold heat in, or a muddy white silkie who's miserable in the Oregon rain.
So all my hens have clean legs, no crests, and normal feathers.

Australorps. I like functional, low maintenance, classic chicken look, low drama in the coop, and how quietly personable and confident they are.

Picture is Coco about ten minutes after meeting this visitor she had never seen before.
