If you were told you could only raise ONE breed, what would it be?

Sumatras. They look awesome and have a great personality (but in the bad cases they are really bad). The only downside is that they don't kay very much and their eggs are kind of small.

Of the breeds I raise, I would have to say the Light Brahmas. The RIRs are pretty and are egg laying machines, but they're not the sweetest birds out there. And my BBS Orpingtons are too young to lay yet, but if they lay well, then that would be my first choice.

If I could only have one it would have to be the Barred Plymouth Rock. Hands down.

I would raise Marans or Faverolles

they are both very friendly and pretty !

If I could only do one, I'd probably due purebred (rumpless and tufted) Araucanas. Just because I love blue eggs and because purebred Araucanas are so hard to find.

Red star or golden comets, (same bird I think according to hatcheries) they are so sweet.
