If you won the lottery, what would you do with the $$$ ?

There's a 89 acre peice of land down the way selling for 99k, the creek cuts off a corner of it but at that size, who cares? Build a large house, and fill it with kids who need families. Toss the bulk into a family trust so the kids have college money and such.

Pay my 10% tithe
Pay off my collections from my P.O.S. ex-hubby so I could get some credit
pay off our house, raze it to the ground, and put a new one up thats not built out of the cheapest crap they could find in 1980.
Buy lots of chickens and build them a heated/air-conditioned coop.

I'd pay my mom's and brother's bills so they could return to school to finish their degrees. And I am sure that'd take a while since both want to finish their bachelors degree and my brother wants a PhD and my mom wouldn't complain about being able to get one either. At home, we'd sell our home (or maybe rent it out to family for really cheap) and buy a beautiful piece of land in the eastern Sierra Nevada! We'd live in a completely self-sustainable property with a huge garden (greenhouse!!!!) and animals. I wouldn't quit work per se, but I wouldn't be working for "the man"! I'd get my PhD and do research for a living meaning I make my own schedule and study what I want! The rest of the money would be invested and we'd live off the interest. Depending on the amount won, a healthy portion would be donated to causes close to our hearts!

I'd buy a really huge slingshot and send my sister and MIL to Siberia.

I'd buy two self-sustaining farms, one for winter, one for summer.
I'd tell my husband he could have him dream job of testing pistols.
While he's doing that, I'd travel to Scotland and Ireland, and a road trip across the US.
I'd stuff as much of it as possible in protected accounts, so it wouldn't all be spent by the DH in the first year.

Okay, first thing, I'd pay off bills.

pay off the bills
buy property, lots of it. Like 100 acres or more
a thousand acres would be cool.
Design and have my dream garage built
then design and have my Barn and house built.

the ideal set up would include a drive way that is gated, but where you cant even see the gate from the road. There would be no sign of a house since we would be surrounded by trees.

the house would be near a small lake - say 20 acres or better.

and i would just kind of fall off the planet.

room for my family, critters, toys and us.

I think I know this place - some call it heaven
