Congratulations. The only thing that stops me is the fact that I know we can't right now. Once we get the barn set up and get the truck paid off ... well ... I'ma go hog wild!

And I know my DH ... he'll be like ... "If it's what you want ..."

I love my DH especially since he's the one building me a 24'x48' pole barn. (YES! The length has increased by 8 feet!

It is SO that & more!!

But I gotta give him credit... He builds me whatever I need and I just keep my mouth shut on how much those horses cost to keep!! But somebody needs to help me!! We just had a family reunion at my in laws next door today and his uncle said "hey you want 3 more horses?" Someone donated 4 horses (1 supposed be really bad off their about to have to put it down) truck, horse trailor & tractor to their church. They realize that it actually cost money & time to keep horses and it's not as fun as they thought it would be. So their trying to get rid of them. SO... The uncle said he's gonna tell them we'll take the horses but the truck, trailor & tractor has got to go with them.... We'll see what happens!! We need another horse like we need a hole in our head!!

The baby chicks are adorable.!!!! They have a little tub of banty chicks at our TS. But I didn't get any. Though I really wanted to. But they were just a mixed lot and didn't know what they would be when they grew up. There were 3 little ones in the tub that were not as big around as a quarter, and about 1 1/2 " tall. I don't know what kind they were but they were the tiniest chicks I have ever seen. And all 3 were brown with some darker speckles. I almost bought them just to see what they would turn out to be. My babies were 3 or 4 times the size of those guys, and thats when my babies were around 3 days old.!!!! Also at our TS, they had standard chickens and signs on the tubs saying that they were for agricultural use only and you had to buy at least 6. Did your TS's have that. I didn't know what they meant by "agricultural use only". ??? What now, not going to be able to buy chicks from the feed stores anymore??
Tammy
And congrats on the new babies.

mmm....... not sure about what that would mean!! Maybe trying to discourage people from buying them for just that Easter fad!

Now ours definetly has a 6 min.. I normally don't even look at anything but the pullets... I figure I give myself better chance of not getting any roos... Ours always has a big mixed tub of bantams not sure what kind they are either!! Maybe you should ask what the sign means!!

Maybe it has to do with laws of selling the chicks? I know there are laws about buying baby turtles, they have to be marketed "for research" only and have to be bigger than a quarter or something like that.

Your babies are adorable, Missi.
